About Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek First Nation
Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek (Rocky Bay First Nation) is located on the southeast shore of Lake Nipigon, 20kms from the town of Beardmore and 185kms from Thunder Bay. This community has a population of more than 750 members, with 334 on-reserve, and 420 off-reserve members. Roughly 25 students who live on-reserve attend Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishiinaabek’s elementary school until grade 7. Binjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek lands are used for hunting, trapping and many other economic areas of trading.
