About Henvey Inlet First Nation
Henvey Inlet First Nation is located on Pickerel River Road on the French River Reserve #13 known as “Pickerel”. Henvey can be found half of the way to Parry Sound and the city of Greater Sudbury on Highway 69. It takes about an hour either way. Henvey Inlet First Nation No.13 is combined with three other Reserves and is located on the North East Shore of Georgian Bay, 90 km of Sudbury on the West side of highway 69 and 71km North of Parry Sound. The French River Reserve No.13 is located North of Henvey Inlet #2 Reserve, and is East of highway 69 on Pickerel River. The Cantin Island is also part of the French River Reserve No.13 and is located North but separated by Pickerel River. It is on the border of the French River on the North Side. The village on the French River Reserve No.13 has been built in the last 10 to 15 years. The total population of this First Nation is 600 members, 150 on-Reserve and 450 Off-Reserve.
