About Ojibways of Aundeck Omni Kanin First Nation

Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation is located on the North Channel of Manitoulin Island, just west of Little Current, Ontario. Residents and tourists within the region can access the island community via road travel on the Little Current Swing Bridge, or via water travel on the Chi-Cheemaun ferry. Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation provides services in development and management of business, economic, human resource & social development within the community. The population of Aundek Omni Kaning First Nation is approximately 700 members, with 340 citizens living on-Reserve. The First Nation does not operate a school, which means local students attend school off-reserve within local District School Boards.
