About Nipissing First Nation
Nipissing First Nation is nestled on the shores of Lake Nipissing, Nipissing First Nation is geographically one of the largest AES First Nations, with five community neighborhoods that stretch across 30km of traditional territory. North Bay is the nearest urban center to the First Nation, located just a few kilometers east of the Duchesnay neighborhood. Nipissing First Nation serves a population of 2,770 citizens, with more than 895 people residing on the First Nation. The community operates a provincially-accredited high school, Nbisiing Secondary School, which provides education services for approximately 87 students in grades 9-12. Primary and elementary education is offered Off-Reserve, where students attend provincial schools for JK-Grade 8.

Services, programs, and resources managed by the First Nation and accessed by community citizens within the First Nation are categorized as “On-Reserve Services”.
