Description of Services:
Offers a variety of services and programs to children with physical, motor and perceptual based difficulties * services that may be offered are:
Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy:
Facilitate the development of physical skills, independence and productive lifestyle by the use of mobility equipment, promoting balance and coordination, improve written and communication and motor skills with use of adaptive equipment and facilitating daily living such as dressing and eating
Speech and Language Therapy:
Provides a variety of services aimed at helping individuals develop effective communication skills
Social Work:
Provides intervention services for individuals, family and groups to help them cope and adjust to new diagnosis or acquired trauma
Recreational Therapy:
Provides children and youth with physical challenges to develop and maintain skills, knowledge and behaviors in the area of recreation and leisure during all seasons
Cross Motor Group:
Offers after school program to help target the areas of strength
Tumble and Swing Group:
Provides program to preschoolers to play together while targeting gross motor skills with the supervision of a caregiver and therapist
Kiwanis Kids in Motion:
Offers a social clubhouse atmosphere for youths with special needs to meet one night a week to encourage positive transition into community based programs through leisure and life skill activities under the supervision of a social worker
