Supports for service providers offering end-of-life care * referral to other community services
Education Programs - Education and information to service providers on palliative and end-of-life care * program content includes basic training in non-medical pain and symptom management, effective communication skills, family dynamics, spiritual challenges, grief and bereavement, culture and ethics, care for the caregiver, advanced care planning and self care
Education and Resource Centre - Provides psychosocial palliative care education programs and workshops for primary caregivers, volunteers, and the health care community * Lending library - collection of books, publications, and videos providing information on a variety of different topics relating to hospice palliative care * service provider information * information on volunteer and community resources * information on grief and bereavement services

About Us
PalCare is a psychosocial hospice palliative care education provider funded by Ontario Health. Providing foundational Core 1 training to PSWs, allied healthcare professionals, and volunteers working in hospice palliative care; end of life care; as well as grief and bereavement fields. PalCare offers customized training to LTC, colleges and other agencies. PalCare offers monthly workshops, focused on current issues in hospice palliative care, as well as hosts an annual symposium.
