Description of Services:

  • Oversees projects as a coalition of community partners to promote and support the health and safety of children and their families
  • Partners with community groups such as the EarlyON Centre to offer parenting programs
  • Observes Safe Kids Canada Week and coordinates activities
  • Monitors for gaps in children's services and provides programs to bridge the gap
  • Holds a car seat clinic periodically
    • Coordinates the following services and programs:
    • Grow-a-Row Program
    • Make and Take Program
    • Community Transportation voucher program
    • Free lending program for snowshoes, life jackets and pfd's
    • Emergency diaper and formula support
    • Positive ticketing program in partnership with OPP
    • Welcome Baby boxes
    • Breast pump rentals
