Description of Services:
Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:

- Community members conduct most business affairs in Sioux Lookout, about 1.5 hour drive S of Slate Falls but goods can be ordered/shipped into community by air
- Hospital services available at Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, Northwest Region; local phone: 807-737-5755
- Child & Family services provided by Tikinagan Child & Family Services
- Serviced by air through Bamaji Lake Airlines
- Owns and operates a commercial fishing lodge
- New water treatment plant built and opened in 2018
- Administers education services and Bimaychikamah School for students from JK-Grade 8 under the Windigo Education Authority
- Offers Bamaji Lake Economic Development Corporation
- Provides health care and health programs at the Slate Falls Health Clinic/Nursing Station
- Supports a community centre and two baseball diamonds
- Organizes community events such as an annual fishing derby and National Aboriginal Day celebrations as well as after-school clubs and activities
