Description of Services:
Serves as a mandated Native Child Welfare agency in Northwestern Ontario
- Created by Chiefs of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation to follow a cultural service model of child protection services which involves parents, extended family members, elders, community resource workers and First Nation leaders but no court orders/involvement
- Delivers a full spectrum of culturally appropriate prevention, early intervention and child protection services to ensure the safety of children and the well being of families
