Description of Services:
Provides a range of supports through the use of technology
Clinical Supports
Coordinates with Surrey Place Centre in Toronto through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) to provide various clinical supports from a team consisting of a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse, psychologist, behaviour therapists, a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist
Clinical Supports
Coordinates with Surrey Place Centre in Toronto through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) to provide various clinical supports from a team consisting of a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse, psychologist, behaviour therapists, a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist
- Provides education, information, diagnoses, advice and referrals for medical issues
- Delivers the supports through video conferencing
- Provides educational training seminars to caregivers, family members, health professionals and the general public about mental health, developmental disabilities and related topics through video conferencing
- Accepts name and email address of individuals wanting to receive monthly list of upcoming training seminars by email
- Provides a resource library of books, DVD's and videos on related topics including Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis
- Coordinates various activities for service users via technology
- Services may include but are not limited to education and literacy, leisure, life skills, music therapy, physical therapy, stretching and relaxation, and vocational skills
