Description of Services:

Empowering witnesses, survivors, families and communities of violent deaths * provides culturally responsive, compassionate, non-denomination "mutual peer support" for youth individuals, families and communities in the following capacities:
  • individual grief support
  • monthly group support - youth, mothers, families and residents of all ages (gender inclusive)
  • response to community crisis, with focus on trauma and gun-violent deaths
  • trauma-focused training on the introductory, intermediary and advanced levels
  • provide certificates on completion of training
  • consultation and post-crisis intervention to all ages
  • support before, during and after funerals
  • mentorship for youth of all ethnicity
  • restorative justice groups and presentations

About Us

Out Of Bounds (OOB) is an innovative volunteer-driven not-for-profit organization which focuses on empowering witness, survivors, families and communities of violent deaths. We provide support, encouragement, education and mentoring to grieving and non-grieving youth, families and communities through a peer mutual support model. We respond to crisis situations and assists families during and after crisis. We also provide prevention-intervention services.
