Description of Services:

Provides culturally sensitive maternity care, including prenatal, labour, birth, and postnatal care

Provides clients with all the necessary information regarding their care so that informed decisions can be made

Provides skilled physical and emotional support during labour

Provides clinical monitoring after birth, in addition to continued emotional support, information, and guidance

Offers a choice of birthplace, either in the home or at the hospital

Works with other health professionals to share care of clients if concerns arise during pregnancy, labour, birth, or postpartum

Offers postnatal visits to examine breastfeeding, the baby's weight, the mother's physical and emotional well being and to discuss family planning and the first year of feeding

Offers resources in the office including books, pamphlets, and handouts
