Application

The first step is a tour of the program. This is arranged by calling the supervisor. A referral form must be completed and two medicals: a physical including a tuberculosis test by the family doctor, and a medical completed by the psychiatrist regarding medications and client stability. The client must be stable on medication and cannot have been aggressive or actively using drugs or alcohol in the past six months. The intake process takes approximately two weeks.

Description of Services:

A community-based program providing opportunities to develop social and life skills, vocational skills for people with mental health challenges and/or concurrent disorders. Individuals can join life skills groups, volunteer, engage in vocational skill development, learn employment skills, engage in real work and earning real wages.
