Description of Services:
Safe transitional housing and support services for women, children and families who have been affected by domestic violence or poverty.
Services available:
Programs available:
Transitional housing and programs- for women and children recovering from abusive relationships * separate, fully furnished apartments, providing long term, affordable housing, (up to one year) with support services for both adults and children
Children's Sponsorship Program- for children * assistance with social, recreational and health needs
Resource Centre Services- include free clothing and household items * accepts donations of clothing, household items, educational supplies as well as financial donations
Choices for Change- drop-in outreach program * topics include how to find a doctor or dentist, how to use the food bank, how to use public transportation, tenant education, food preparation skills/ nutrition education and money management
Christmas Sponsorship Program- for children or for a family * provide gifts or gift cards for child/children or for all members of a family * accept financial donations as well
