Description of Services:
National, nonprofit peer-to-peer support program to help children, youth and adults process grief related to divorce, death and other family loss * Participants take part in peer support groups led by trained facilitators * each curriculum consists of 14 weekly sessions
Five distinct groups within the program:
Sunbeams - for preschool children
Rainbows - for children in kindergarten through grade eight
Spectrum - for youth in secondary school
Kaleidoscope - for single adults and adults that are college-aged
Prism - for single parents and stepparents seeking to reconcile their feelings about what has taken place in their family and rebuild the family unit
* Groups meet at schools, churches, synagogues and other community locations * most sites are sponsored by local religious or civic organizations and the Simcoe County District School Board
