Description of Services:
Community-based support for justice and services for at-risk youth who have committed minor offences and agree to take responsibility for actions.
Options for alternative court proceedings:
Youth Justice Committee Program - volunteer-led committee serves as an alternative for court proceedings
Extrajudicial Measures Program - focused on an alternative and option for police services to utilize and serves as an alternative for instigating a formal charge
Extrajudicial Sanction Program - referrals made from crown attorneys or probation officers, alongside a confirmed court date for completion of program
Restorative Justice Program - conflict resolution based on active participation of the community and serves as an alternative to formal justice system
