Description of Services:

Probates wills of persons who die either testate (with a will) or intestate (without a will) * also deals with contested claims against estates and disputed wills trials * keeps copies of local probated wills that are less than 40 years old

Longevity and storage:
  • local probated wills less than 20 years old are kept
  • wills older than 20 years are kept in storage for 40 years and can be obtained through this office
  • requests for copies of local probated wills must be sent in writing to above address
  • Ontario Archives keep copies of probated wills that are 60 years or older
