Description of Services:
Health centre providing family medical care and community-based health programs * team of family doctors, nurse practitioners and other health care providers * referral to other regional health services
Culturally appropriate programs and services for Indigenous persons, combining traditional health and Western medical practices * aims to improve the social supports and conditions that affect long-term health
Health Education and Promotion - Fitness classes, diabetes support group, parent counselling and support group, doctor's clinic which provides cervical cancer screening (HPV testing)by appointment, dietitian clinic, and traditional medical clinic
Services and Programs - Older adult programs, youth group, singing lessons, home maintenance program, and children's camp
Home and Community Care - Health services provided in a home or community setting for older adults, persons with disabilities, or injured persons * includes nursing care, personal support, foot care, homemaking, meal preparation, and respite care
Indigenous Healthy Babies Healthy Children - Supports for pregnant women and families with children 0-6 years * home visits by nurses and other home visitors help expectant and new parents with having a healthy pregnancy and birth, breastfeeding, nutrition, child development, and being a parent
