Description of Services:
Grief Support for Adults:
Provides a safe and comfortable environment to express all the thoughts and feelings you may experience due to the loss of a loved one. The grief group is open to all hospice clients as well as individuals in Peterborough City and County who are experiencing grief. Call Hospice Peterborough to find out when the next groups will start, or to get connected with our Grief Drop-In group. Groups available include: Bereaved Parent Support Group, Grief Chat Groups, Grief Groups Level 1, 2 and 3.
Grief Support for Children and Adolescents:
The support groups at Hospice Peterborough bring together children and adolescents of like ages, for a time of sharing and support. Various exercises, including journal writing and use of art supplies, are used to help the young people express their feelings and thoughts. The group is led by a professional who often works with a peer support leader.
