Description of Services:
To identify, provide and strengthen support services enabling children, youth and families to function at their highest potential.
Family Support for Pre-Schoolers: For parents of a child under six years of age who is having difficulties with behaviours. A Family Support Worker will help to develop goals and coach on parenting skills.
Children with Special Needs: For children with developmental difficulties. For infants and toddlers, an Infant Development Consultant will meet with the parent in the family home to develop goals. For children between 3 - 13 years of age with special needs, a Resource Consultant will screen the child's developmental progress, connect with medical specialists, assist in obtaining additional supports.
Child and Youth Crisis Intervention: A Crisis Worker is available during office hours to provide immediate relief and direction and meet with the parent/child to give practical suggestions to manage the situation.
Counselling and Therapy: Professional counselling is available for children and parents who are dealing with tension and conflict, behaviours, mental health and parenting. Counselling for youths 12 years of age and older is available in the school, office or in the community.
Summer Adventure Day Camp: Week-long day camps for children ages six to eleven, there is a fee for this service.
