Description of Services:
National, community-based organization of volunteers * enhances the quality of life of people living with cancer * fund research on all types of cancers and provide information and services such as:
- support to individuals living with cancer, family members and friends over the phone, on-line, and in person
- provides credible, up-to-date information on cancer
- presentations and displays to community groups focusing on healthy living, general risk reduction and cancer related information
- volunteer transportation for local or out of town cancer-related appointments
- personalized support, advice and information about quitting smoking
