Description of Services:
Provides a safe and secure refuge to women in crisis and/or are victims of abuse and their children * offers temporary accommodation * provides the following services:
Temporary residential emergency shelter service:
Transitional housing and support service:
Children's services:
Drop-in service:
Outreach services: provides once every 2 weeks in Chapleau, Hornepayne and White River
Temporary residential emergency shelter service:
- offers a 10 bed emergency shelter
- emergency transportation to come to the shelter
- provides food, basic necessities, laundry facilities, private bedrooms, children's play areas and some storage area
- provides emotional support, information and referrals
- provides assistance in accessing housing, financial aid, child care and legal representation
- provides advocacy and accompaniment to appointments
- safety planning with women & their children
Transitional housing and support service:
- helps to locate and maintain safe housing
- offers safety planning, advocacy, information about rights, accompaniment to appointments, referrals, court support and ongoing emotional support
Children's services:
- provides one-on-one support to children in the shelter
Drop-in service:
- available to women not currently in the shelter
- offers support, information and referrals, emergency food or clothing and household items
Outreach services: provides once every 2 weeks in Chapleau, Hornepayne and White River

CHADWIC Home Inc. is dedicated to the eradication of all forms of violence and abuse against women and children by providing shelter and supportive services to women aged 16 and over, and their children.
