Description of Services:
Provides and advocates for a full range of community-based services for people with intellectual disabilities including accommodation, employment, community access, planning and family supports
Clinical services: Services are designed to partner with children and adults with intellectual disabilities, their families and paid supports to promote social and emotional well-being
Community alternatives: Community alternatives provide vocational/pre-vocational education and community opportunities
Community links: Designed to assist adults with an intellectual disability to access meaningful activities during the day whether provided through organized in-house activities or community-based programs
Family home program: One of several residential options available to people who have an intellectual disabiliy that allows their needs and desires to be addressed in a personal ad flexible manner
Respite services: Provides short-term relief and support services to primary caregivers of adults with intellectual disabilities and families of children with intellectual and/or physical disabilities residing in the District of Nipissing * respite can be provided for a few hours, a day, weekend, or a week * may be provided on an occasional or on a regular basis
Planning and coordination: Entry point for all services and supports provided * matches individuals to services and to identify the supports necessary to achieve their personal goals
Student nutrition program: Provides access to healthy, nutritious food to support healthy growth and development
