Medically stable adults 18 years and older with a neurological condition * patients must be under the care of a family doctor, noit be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, have shown recent progress in recovery, have clear rehab goals, and be able to tolerate at least a 3-hour program (less if only one service is required) * patients must commit to attend regular sessions and complete recommended home activities/exercises

Description of Services:
Rehabilitation and coordinated health services for people diagnosed with nervous system traumas or neurological conditions, such as a recent stroke within the past 9 months, an acquired brain injury (e.g. aneurysm) within the past year, a neurological condition (e.g. multiple sclerosis, or degenerative conditions) * virtual therapy available
Services may include:
Occupational Therapy
arm and hand therapy
cognitive and perceptual assessment and re-training
retraining of daily living skills
address community reintegration issues
Physiotherapy
walking and balance retraining
leg and ankle therapy
re-training of facial muscles following Bell's Palsy or acoustic neuroma
assessment and recommendation for walkers/canes
physical conditioning and endurance building
Speech-Language Pathology
Assessment and treatment for:
speech difficulties
language difficulties (comprehension, recalling words, expressing an idea; reading, writing, smartphone and computer access)
cognitive communication (memory, reasoning, problem solving, organizing)
swallowing difficulties
