Newcomer Programs: School ReadinessReady for School Connects (RfSC) provides newcomer children and their guardians with tools and resources to start school confidently for their first time and to have a smooth transition into kindergarten
- during a two-week session newcomer parents gain insight and resources to feel confident and ready in September when sending their child to school through workshops that include topics such as "Understanding how the Canadian School System works and how to be a part of it - contact: SupervisorSRI@eyetfrp.ca
Parent Connection NetworksCommunity set discussion groups and workshops for newcomer women, to support and provide information and connections within their local communities, topics include:
- civic engagement
- dental and healthcare
- child protection laws
- employment
- housing supports

- enjoy nutritious snacks
- learn about prenatal health
- receive breastfeeding support
- discuss baby's health
- access nutritional information and resources
- schedule one-on-one appointments with a Public Health Nurse and Dietitian
- meet other parents in your community
