- Prioritizes the urgency of requests for assistance
- Determines the appropriate destination hospital to meet patient needs
- Provides callers with pre-arrival first aid instructions
- Assigns the closest available and most appropriate ambulance to each emergency
- Coordinates the transfer of patients between health care facilities
Air ambulance assistance for:
- Coordination of air ambulance response to remote communities
- Inter-facility transfers
Also takes calls and dispatches for:
- All NW Ontario Fire & Rescue Services
- First Nations First Response Teams
- Lake of the Woods Search and Rescue
