Description of Services:
Provides education, programs and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness
Endeavors to improve working relationships between health care systems and Aboriginal communities
Provides education to raise awareness of health issues affecting Indigenous people
Ensures that Indigenous individuals understand the present health care system
Provides education in an effort to reduce violence within Indigenous communities
Health and Social Circle
Offers presentations on health related topics
Teaches various Indigenous craft-making workshops
Offers one-on-one support, as well as, group support for various health related issues
Healthy Lifestyles
Promotes healthy eating, food preparation and storage, and budgeting for healthy food shopping
Addresses health in a cultural and holistic way with a focus on the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs of individuals
Provides information sessions on disease prevention
Community Engagement
Partners with other community agencies to provide programming for the clients in order to bring people together
