Mandated for First Nations children and youth 17 years of age and under in need of protection
Voluntary for children 16 years of age and over

Prevention Services: Families requiring intervention in order to prevent family breakdown

Administers bicultural child protection and prevention services for First Nation children and youth

Provides on-call services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Investigates all reports of child abuse/neglect
Focus is on providing services that respect Anishinaabe heritage, culture and traditions
Belongs to the Association of Native Child and Family Service Agencies of Ontario
