Description of Services:

Provides health care services by a Nurse Practitioner * emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention * practice includes physical examination, some lab tests, ultrasound and x-rays, and prescription of some medications

minor episodic diseases (eg, respiratory infections)
sexual health (contraception and sale of contraceptive products at reduced cost, treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancies and pap test)
mental health (counselling, follow up and referral)
chronic diseases (counselling, follow up and referral)
preventive health services (complete examinations, screening and immunization)
health promotion (support groups, action groups, workshops and health fair)
