Description of Services:

Helps Anishnawbe people obtain employment and careers to foster their personal goals

Programs Offered:
  • apprenticeship/pre-apprenticeship: Includes on-the-job training by technical instruction
  • job opportunity program/targeted wage subsidy: Provides training and work experience with qualified employers/trainers to gain valuable knowledge and skills necessary to enter the labour force
  • mobility assistance: Individuals who have obtained full-time employment and who are relocating a minimum of 100 km may qualify for relocation assistance
  • self employment assistance: Assists individuals who want to start their own business and to become self-employed
  • skills enhancement/direct course pur­chase and apprenticeship: Unemployed/underemployed persons who require assistance to overcome existing or anticipated labour market barriers may qualify for training courses
  • youth work experience program: Youth between the ages of 15-30 who have not successfully been able to find employment in their chosen career or educational paths may qualify for assistance
