Eligibility - Population(s) Served
Medically stable adults 18 years and older who have had an amputation of the foot or leg, or hand or arm * must have potential for recovery to an improved level of independence with the use or replacement of a prosthetic device and instruction in a comprehensive rehabilitation program * must have potential for improvement in functional independence by participating in a comprehensive rehabilitation program without the application of a prosthetic device (priority is given to amputees waiting for admission for prosthetic fitting) * patients admitted for non-prosthetic rehabilitation must demonstrate that adequate social support exists in their community living environment that can be adjusted to suit the patient's altered physical state and needs

Service and standard ward accommodation covered by OHIP * additional fees charged for semi-private and private rooms * prosthetics and orthotics may be covered by the Assistive Devices Program or other funding sources
