Description of Services:
Provides prenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women and new mothers
Offers prenatal education to all pregnant women
Conducts prenatal home visits
Works under a medical directive which allows the necessary lab work orders to be placed right from home visit
Services include:
Weighing patients
Urine analysis
Blood pressure checks
Postpartum education
Lactation advice
Loan of hospital grade electric breast pump
Weighing and assessing newborns
Education to new moms about newborns
Referrals and information about programs and services available in community
