Description of Services:
Offers culturally appropriate programs and services for Indigenous youth at eight community schools Programs provided include:
In-school student literacy/numeracy support, mentoring, role modeling, cultural teachings and activities, pow wows and cultural workshops
After-school programs including cultural teachings/activities, homework and study help, recreational activities and life/living skills teachings
Food security education including healthy lunch/snack programs, promotion of nutritious eating and traditional teachings related to food and hunting, gathering and harvesting
Structured activities to promote social and recreational experiences such as Family Literacy Nights and Family Drop-in evenings
