Description of Services:

Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) work at the hospital to help patients when having problems breathing

Services include:
  • oxygen delivery using a mask
  • medication delivery (assessment and treatment if appropriate)
  • management of asthma
  • medical advice and education on proper use of medication devices

Full Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) - when a patient is diagnosed as having decreased air flow through basic spirometry, then they are referred for a full PFT to aid in diagnosing lung diseases * can guide decisions regarding further treatment and intervention
