This non-profit organization is committed to children and youth by protecting them from abuse and neglect, strengthening the ability of their parents and families to meet their needs and providing safe, enduring placements when they are at risk.
Services include:
- Investigation of child abuse and neglect
- Guidance, counselling and referral services
- Protection of children who have suffered abuse or neglect or are at risk of harm by assisting and supporting their families to reduce harmful circumstances
- Placement of children in alternative care arrangements depending on their legal status and their individual needs
- Treatment services for children in care
- Recruitment and education for Foster and Adoptive parents
- Adoption disclosure services to adult adoptees and/or birth parents
- File disclosure
- Behaviour management skills for parents
- Residential placement or day camp
- Life skills program in partnership with selected secondary schools for youth ages 13-19 years of age
- Therapuetic Family Care Program in conjunction with three other Children's Aid Societies for children with complex needs in our care
