Description of Services:

DAFRS works in partnership with families with a member who has an intellectual disability or a child with a physical disability * provides short term family respite.

Facilitators work with families in planning and bringing about lifestyle and support that best suit the individual and family.
The family support team hosts variety of workshops.
Provides education to raise public awareness of the needs and capabilities of people with developmental disabilities
Provides programs to support family leadership through networking and development of family groups
Adults wanting long-term, ongoing facilitation support must apply through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO).
