Description of Services:
INCOME SUPPORT: Financial assistance and basic health benefits to persons who require help with basic needs such as food, drug benefits and shelter.
ONTARIO WORKS EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM: Assistance to Income Support participants to prepare for, obtain and sustain employment and to make the transition to long term self-reliance. Employment Support - workshops in job search strategies, interview skills and resume preparation. Employment Placement - assistance in obtaining paid employment. Community Participation - placement opportunities in not-for-profit community agencies.
HOMEMAKING PROGRAM: Houskeeping/laundry assistance to eligible Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program recipients, low-income seniors or clients awaiting placement in a Long Term Care Facility.
HOMELESS SUPPORT SERVICES: Services to support homelessness. Call 24-hour line at 905-668-7711 ext 5510.
