Description of Services:

Provides income and employment support services for adults with developmental disabilities to live, work, and participate in their local communities

Income (financial) support:
  • Assists people with disabilities who are in financial need to pay for basic living expenses such as food, clothing and housing
  • Persons eligible for receiving Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Income support are also eligible to receive other benefits and supports:
- Health benefits, such as prescription drug, dental, vision care, and diabetic supplies coverage
- Disability-related benefits, such as hearing aids and wheelchair/mobility device subsidies
- Employment-related assistance, such as childcare and work equipment subsidies

Employment Support:
  • Assists people with disabilities in finding a job and preparing for work
  • Includes job coaching, specialized computer training, on-the-job training, transportation assistance, intervention services, help with keeping a job, as well as mentoring/coaching for people interested in starting up their own business
