Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all social, recreational and special events for children and youth of the community

Provides various activities such as arts and crafts, baking nights, movie nights and outdoor sports events
Organizes and supervises various outdoor activities for youth during summer months such as baseball, football, soccer, dodgeball and frisbee

Recreation services and facilities include:

Baseball diamond
Gymnasium
Skating rink
Recreation complex, used for feasts, social gatherings, indoor sports activities

Youth Wilderness Retreat Program (YWRP)

Coordinates an annual wilderness camp experience for children, youth and families for one week in July
Focus is to promote leadership and cultural knowledge with many of the teachings provided by local elders and experienced instructors
Offers fun events, sports activities and practical skills learning such as medicine walks, fish netting, boat and motor safety, first aid/water training, moose hunting skills and preparation of traditional food
