Description of Services:

Focuses on education, recreation, arts, employment and volunteerism aiming to prevent isolation and promote health and well-being in children and youth
Youth In Action/Youth In Arts
  • after school weekly activity programs to establish community connections for newcomer and refugee youth ages 12-24 years
  • Youth in Action promotes healthy lifestyle and cross cultural integration through sports
  • Youth In Arts offers visual arts, digital design and video production workshops
Mabelle After-School Program
  • for children ages 6-13 years living in the Toronto Community Housing community of Mabelle
  • indoor and outdoor recreational activities, homework help, nutrition education, and health education; snack provided
Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS) Program - equips young people, 15-30 years with the tools and connections needed to find a placement in their chosen field
  • pre-employment workshops, which cover topics like job search tactics
  • after workshops, collaborate with a program worker who can help youth find employment opportunities
